My Music
In principle, I make “electronic music” but most people outside the demoscene would understand it as ‘game console music’ or keygen music. I don’t mind. Most recent tunes have a more contemporary feel but still retain the ‘Amiga mod’ or ‘chiptune’ flavour because this is the kind of music I grew up with.
I composed the bulk of my music during the mid 90s on an Amiga 500 using NoiseTracker, and then ProTracker 3.15.
I had managed to put together a semi pro studio at the turn of the millennium, based around a Creamware DSP card, a Yamaha AN1X synthesiser, a Novation Drumstation (TR-909 clone), and some other gadgets, but had to sell it all in a moment of financial need. My productivity also went downhill ’thanks’ to this complex setup. Nowadays, rather than trying to recreate my old studio, I’m trying to wrap my head around the likes of Renoise.
I used artist names (aka ‘handles’ in the demoscene) Byte Revenger and Sexton, rather than my actual name, so these are the ones that appear on Amiga/C64 music archives such as Amiga Music Preservation (AMP) and the High Voltage Sid Collection (HVSC).
Most of my music is on YouTube.
