Network-Attached Storage (NAS) provides file-level (as opposed to block-level) storage to a heterogeneous group of clients.   🌐

  • Amazon EFS - Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) is a scalable file system implemented as NAS whose volumes can be mounted concurrently on multiple compute instances.  🌐
  • Amazon FSx - A high-performance file system that is offered in a Windows File Server (i.e. using the SMB protocol) edition, and in a Lustre (a Linux high-performance distributed file system) edition. The latter can be linked to Amazon S3 buckets,to access and process data concurrently from both a high-performance file system and from the S3 API.  🌐
  • Amazon Storage Gateway - Amazon Storage Gateway is a solution that allows replicating files to Amazon storage (S3, Glacier, EBS) by means of an appliance that customers deploy on premise.  🌐
  • NetApp NAS - A hybrid (on-prem/cloud) solution.  🌐
