Artefact repositories host the likes of Java Maven modules, Python modules, Node.js/NPM, Docker containers, etc.

  • AWS CodeArtifact - A fully managed software artifact repository that works with commonly used package managers and build tools such as Maven and Gradle (Java), npm and yarn (JavaScript), pip and twine (Python).  🌐
  • Amazon ECR - Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) is Amazon’s own container registry, which integrates with the rest of its ecosystem including Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, and AWS Fargate.  🌐
  • Amazon ECR Public Gallery - A platform to share and deploy container images, publicly and privately, similar to Docker Hub.  🌐
  • Artifact Registry - Google’s de facto service to manange to store and manage language packages (such as Maven and npm) as well as container images.  🌐
  • Artifactory - The artifact repository which is popular with companies who were not tied up to Nexus in the first place.  🌐
  • Docker Hub - The canonical public container registry for Docker images. It also supports private repositories.  🌐
  • Nexus - Nexus started off initially as a Maven repository but today it covers a diverse number of artifact types including Docker images.  🌐
  • Perforce Helix Core - Helix Core is a artifact repository (and management) solution that supports numerous build artifacts: Maven, Ivy, Docker, Bower, NuGet, and npm.  🌐
